Welcome! I’m so glad you stopped by!
Living Into God’s Possible in an Impossible World
This site is all about learning to live into God’s possible, in this oftentimes impossible world. Learning to trust God’s promise in Matthew 19:26:
“With man this is impossible, but with God all things are possible.” (Matthew 19:26)
To live into God’s possible in this impossible world, we need to focus in a few key areas:
Prayer is at the core of relationship with God, so we need to invest in our prayer life and keep it vibrant and focused. You’ll find loads of resources on prayer here – how to pray, what is prayer, what is the power of prayer, more than 20 different methods for prayer, and a library of written prayers to get you started.
Trusting God fully may be the hardest part of faith. Here you’ll find resources on taking Sabbath and finding stillness with God. Letting Him refill you and lead you forward. Discerning and listening to God to find your purpose. Trusting God through life’s changes and the storms that inevitably blow in. Learning to trust in God’s provision and just-in-time equipping.
Studying the Bible is essential to our faith walk, so we’ll look at how to study the Bible and also dig into scripture. Spiritual disciplines are taking our study of God’s word and combining it with spiritual practices to deepen our spiritual formation. In addition, I plan to add some Bible studies here. The first two are Discipleship with Peter and Surrendering to the Holy Spirit. Look for more to come…
Faith isn’t just something we have on the inside, but also something we live out visibly and vocally. We serve others, give of our time, talents, and treasures, build community, and encourage each other. We share our stories of faith to spread the hope we’ve found with others.
Make sure to stop by my Resources section, where I keep a collection of all my favorite resources for living this life of faith. You can find more information on the books I’ve written, plus other great books to enhance your study and spiritual growth. I also have some of my favorite faith-based jewelry and clothing, and some beautiful items for your home to keep you reminded of your faith. Lastly, if you’re a blogger or thinking about starting a blog, I’ve included a section of all my favorite tools and technology that I use for this site.
I’m a wife to Larry and mother to two precious children. Our life here in North Texas is jam-packed with energy, laughter, sports and fun. I work full-time in corporate IT, but my passions are being a mom and serving God.
I am an active member of St. Philip’s Episcopal Church in Frisco, TX, which is a community of believers focused on growing faith to impact the world for Christ. I serve on the Vestry, teach adult discipleship classes, and help lead women’s events. I’m also currently serving as the President of the St. Philip’s Episcopal School Board.
I’m the author of the “Pray Deep” devotional prayer journal series. These journals are based on the Pray Deep series and will introduce to over 20 forms of prayer, adding variety to your prayer time and helping you find new ways to draw closer to God. By using these varied methods, I’ve experienced a transformation in my own prayer life and I’m thrilled to share it with you! Get more information here.
